Zhanna, APRN, CRNA

Provider, Co-founder

Zhanna’s career began as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She learned first hand that treating my patients was not limited to treating just their medical needs so she took a more holistic approach, treating the whole child while keeping in mind the family dynamics.

Since becoming a nurse, Zhanna returned to school at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Masters of Nursing in Anesthesia. For nearly a decade, Zhanna has practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), delivering safe and effective anesthesia for patients undergoing major surgery and minor procedures at major medical centers throughout Chicago, New York, and New Jersey. Zhanna’s daily anesthesia practice involves the strategic use of ketamine, where she has developed a profound understanding of its efficacy, therapeutic uses, and side effects.

Zhanna’s professional expertise is not only rooted in clinical practice, but also in personal experiences. Having family members who have struggled with severe depression and crippling anxiety, Zhanna understands first hand how difficult it can be for patients and their families alike. My personal connection has fueled my passion for exploring innovative treatments in mental health.

Similar to managing the intricacies of taking care of a child in intensive care, Zhanna knows that to effectively treat mental health disorders there must be a multifaceted approach. While therapy and antidepressants are the bedrock of treatment, ketamine provides an additional tool in the repertoire to treat depression and PTSD, among other mood disorders. Zhanna’s goal is to leverage her extensive knowledge in safe ketamine administration to provide the best care to her patients suffering from mental health disorders.
